So, I hope to get some wisdom from my fellow Spiceheads. I truly am loving Android 8.1 and the camera on this phone so I don't want to go back to the Note 8. I could try a factory reset and see if that helps. And also tried Pulse but that is more of a direct messaging app and doesn't have everything I enjoy from Pushbullet or Join. I posted in the Google Product forums and they totally absolve Android Messages as being a problem. I tried XDA Developers and it goes back and forth between it being a problem with the third party or Android Messages. I emailed Pushbullet and they never responded (and I'm a paying PRO user.) I contacted Join and they blame it on Android Messages and offered no support. So, I tried Join and same problem occurs. The user gets the text but it just doesn't show up in Android Messages in the thread. Since moving to the Pixel 2 XL, any text I send from my PC (Chrome Extension, Desktop App or the website) will not sync back to my phone in the message thread. I use and prefer Android Messages as my SMS apps.
